Solo 9100 and XP -- Gateway Solo Service & Parts Information

Subject: Solo 9100 and XP

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade my 9100 from W2K to XP. After booting from CD, a few minutes after hitting "Enter" to install XP, the install aborts with a STOP message:

STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000006,0x808550F4,0xFA6E5A14,0x00000000)

I tried disabling memory cache and now the screen just goes blank at the same place and nothing else happens.

I have the Trident video model with 192Meg RAM and and my Bios is V8.47.

Any ideas?
