Just picked up an old Solo 2500 that wasn't working (no display, no post). Found a thread here that suggested reseating the processor board -- did that, laptop now works great! Wahoo!

I started putting a copy of Win98 on the system, and someone recommended WinXP (meets the minimum req's)... says they have a Pentium 266 and WinXP actually ran better (and faster!) than Win98 on the same machine...

Has anyone else had any luck running WinXP on a Solo 2500?

(This 2500 has a 266MHz proc, and 96MB RAM)
