Subject: Solo 9550 Screen OUT

 Hi There. I have a solo 9550 which is working great besides the battery having died and would not charge common problem. So I didnt bother figured I will get one soon. I am in London now studying. While using the laptop a the power cable came undone and the screen went out. I figued the system shut down. I did quickly reconnect it. Hours later I realized the system was still ON. From then on I can see the Window boot screen. Also the MSN messenger screen is visible. What I mean is anything that is light is visible so I think the screen in fine but there is no back light. It could be LCD Inverter or cable. I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas about that and also if anyone knows of a site or help guide as to how I can safely open my laptop. I have opened lots of laptop before but just not the screens. Please help. Thanks
