Both Gerald Salonga and Jay Durias are listed as
song producer on a song or two in her new Covers 2
album.
Covers 2 is sounding great. Alot of standouts..
And check out some of her pictures with the
CD. Regine looks like that actress ( ok. that
vampire! lol..) in the movie "UnderWorld 2"
that is showing locally right now.
Covers 2 could probably passed for Under World 2's
movie poster. hehe.. Maybe some foreigners will
buy her album thinking it must be the movie's
soundtrack, eh? Nah. Covers is great. UnderWorld
isn't as good as the first one was.

Happy ako for Covers 2. the whole album is great. At least nag-experiment ulit siya by collaborationg with other talented arrangers. Hope to see her collaborating with great composers naman. An album of all original songs.

kudos!!! to Raul Mitra. Magaling pala siya sa technicals. Maganda yung mga songs sa Covers, siya ang mixing engineer. hehehe

And alot of kudos to you too, Agetro..
For giving RAUL some good reconition he probably
does deserve. But most of all for being the one
to give him some after being someone who was
single out and given a very personal and heavy
flaming by Raul the songbird's musical director
on the fans yahoo group before. That's mighty
big of you to be looking beyond that incident
and given some credit to whom it due.
I always knew you were an admirable good (Regine)
music fan. Thanks for proving it now.

Because if it was me who was insulted like that ..
I might have shown up during a PPS taping and walked
over to him on the stage and slammed shut the piano
cover over his fingers! 10 years ago, I mean.. I'm
more mellow now. So maybe today I would have called
up pizza-hut and ordered family pizzas for everyone
in the audience and have it charged to Raul. lol.
It was probably really just an misunderstanding then-
The uncalled for and (I'm pretty sure unintentional)
insult he was "knighted" by Regine's musical director
on the songbird fans group at the time may be seen
as a very unfortunate incident because of the number
of fans who seen it happen but will be seen differently
when you know some of the inside story to it.
Raul himself said he was still new in learning how
to communicate more "properly" with fans on the
yahoo groups via the internet. It shouldn't happen
again. Towards any fans at least. I'm not too sure
about towards people like Regine's media detractor
or that sneaky acting L.A. concert producer we all
know about. And I hope he does react towards them
someday! ;-}

* I mentioned about the incident because I think
its important if we want to know music truths that
we don't hide any incidents or stories from the fans
side as well so we won't be accused of doing the same
thing. Which would be trying to hide.. suppress relevant
information and tidbits ( bec they looked unfavorable )
from all good Regine music fans, friends and her
other music cronies. If we want to know the truth
we should set some examples about it to be worthy
to get it. Di ba? ( no one/group is perfect though..
just keep intending to try at my best at it.
