Greetings, Joe of NY/NJ..
I always read your posts. Even repeatedly. No matter
how much it hurts. lol.
Joe's Opinion is the opinion to hear when you want
to hear something straight from someone who isn't
locked-in with the rest of the same mind, same
thoughts people. So fans don't have to react
hard when he posts. He's cleared. hehe..
And that's what it must look like to some Regine fans
and pinoy music concert lovers over there in the U.S.A.
But that cannot be the case. What Regine was most probably
saying about doing solo shows was.. (ok, that should be
answered properly. I heard several points of view. So I'll
hold off till further music consultation. But it should get
answered because you sense alot of music fans are asking
the same kind of questions and thinking the same kind of
things that Joe from NJ and NY would bring up here. )
Pops Fernandez a has-been? OMG.. But that's just a
false perception. On the internet alone there was added
two more mailing groups for her. If you want to gauge it
some that way. I don't know how to answer that properly
for you, Joe.. She's been on the tube in so many local
shows as a regular. She took over from Lani M. with the
show "Celebrity Turns" and got some good praise. She
just released a new album recently. So this concert will
be a good way to help promote that disk. And of course,
Regine has got her own new album too. So they both will
benefit from pairing up as far as music product out in
the market is concern.
Now.. as Regine has said.. she doesn't want to do any
more solo shows for the time being.. because when she
does she has the habit of getting consumed by it! And
she gets a little too involve in alot of the shows
productions that can be easily be deligated to the
crew working for her in her company. But she doesn't.
But when she's sharing the spotlight like with Pops or
Kuh..? She seems to take everything easier and just
concentrate mostly on her stage singing. Regine has yet
to do a major solo show in the U.S. (I believe..)
Its not like you're thinking. How long have you been
around the Regine music scene, Joe? Were you around
more than 5, 6, 7 years ago? At the time the ticket
to see in the US was the Pops and Regine concerts.
There was even several Pops/Regine web sites dedicated
to the concerts they did together. Pops has alot of
mature yet passionated music fans there. She will be a
hit by herself. No doubt in my mind.. But musically,
Regine is the attraction. For homesick fans, Pops is
going to be appreciated regardless how she sings. hehe..

Again, you got it wrong, Joe.. You'll catch on to her
style soon enough and you'll know how she is. Maybe you'll
come in and tell us when you discover it. And I'm kind of
tired at the moment to get into it.
But appreciate your post of course. And I'm going to try
and ask about your topic too. Why do a show together again?
Is it because someone thought it was what the public wanted
or because they both just wanted to work together again.
But I'm all smiles about it. Aba.. Pops was a musical
influence on our girl. They got some good ties between
them. There's going to be some checking into if time
permits. But this could be the ticket for a good lively
show to watch. My sister caught the Pops show recently.
And she was dragged there. But she was really surprised
how much she enjoyed it. Pops won her over. And my sis
is one tough cookie.
So there'll be some fast songs at Reg's show with Pops.
That's a welcome thing at least. di ba?
I wonder how long the show will be and how many songs
each artist will perform. Stay tuned.

And remember.. Pops and Regine are priends.
I'm on a couple of Pops yahoo lists. The fans
are friendly. Its us who aren't. But the fans
in the Pops lists are mature people. Your mother
might be listed there. Let's not pick fights
like it happened before. Because some Pops fans
are big supporters of the Song Bird. BIG!
