I actually have an all star Christmas Album of Australian singers including Vanessa Amorossi. Yes she has the capacity to shift from chest to head in a very smooth transition that sometimes its difficult to identify if she has already shifted to head. Music critics speculate that her real chest voice reaches up to B5 or C6 (pretty High!!!!). And registers up to C7 in whistle. Other more popular artists in the site include Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey among others. There is a separate category for Opera singers since it is a fairly different discipline. In that site, they say singers celine mariah and whitney are relatively within the range of G-A5 on chest. The range of the 3 differs with the lowest register and the whistle register. Mariah hits the lowest among the 3 but another singer... I think rachelle or Yma hits a note or two lower.... and Mariah being able to hit the the highest whistle G#7 (probably in her younger days... I suspect she can only hit up to F7 nowadays). But ironically... a guy (forgot the name) can hit higher than Mariah... he registers at B7 i think or higer. Very informative site. Check it out.
