I am not really a MC fan -I only noticed her because a friend told me that she has the highest register voice- I did not believe my friend but he insisted that counted daw yung Whistle. Although I did not argue but deep in my heart i really felt that Whistling is not really something to rave about. I learned about Regine in the late 80's and enjoyed her Albums (nasa Plaka pa at that time) but when I heard her live in Narito Ako concert in 1990 I became a fan. Unfortunately this did not happen in MC concert - I was overwhelmed with MC's presence during the first 3 songs and then I retreated and felt ok so this is Mariah C. She is gifted- napakagaling niya- she has the talent- beauty and charisma but I did not feel the way I felt for Regine. In the last song of MC na Hero - she gave her best and I think she is one of the best but di masyadong nagregister sa akin - I was still unaffected. Walang warm feeling inside- walang kilabot factor- walang tumaas na balahibo.
Although at this point I am in the point of burnout watching Regine in her concerts SOP etc. - still after watching MC I realized how great Regine is. Nagsasawa na ako but when u compare her to MC ma aapreciate mo uli si Regine. I think Regine has the more powerful voice- and has the higher pitch - hindi na kailangan ni Rej na bumwelo- si Mariah medyo scared ako na hindi niya ma reach ang songs niya mismo. Regine is more intense and has a more arresting voice - Rej voice does not drown with the crowds applause or screams. And yes mas feel mo kapag siya ang kumakanta - for the past 3 weeks in SOP - her performance speaks for itself - in Never Too Far if u guys noticed her Falsetto is stronger now-almost like her normal voice- far better than her Two for a Knight concert.
I am sorry to disappoint some Mariah Carrey fans out there- I think that she gave a very good performance last Sunday but she looked tired and moved a bit slow ( maybe bec she was in high heels) and her voice was overused- medyo gasgas. But there was no magic there really- I think after 3 songs it was gone - nakakabilib lang na si MC na superdiva ang nagpeperform sa stage- na nasa harapan mo. But in terms of talent - I think Regine is at par or even better - Regine is superior vocally - yon lang po ang sa akin. Wala lang po sana magagalit but if u disagree ok lang po na ishare ninyo dito . Thank you

well pwede ba... ha.... kc c reine birit lang ng birit walang pakialam kung naiintindihan ba yung mga kinakanta niya... tapos nun kinanta pa yun NEVER TOO FAR.. sinisiaw niya lan... wala man lan power magalin lan siyang mag-sustain n voice
