Since that is where she appeared alot on before when she would be interviewed. But since then the story has changed real fast that she is just talking a vacation. It is interesting to note that there was suppose to be a taped interview (according to someone watching TV) and that segment did not come on as it was suppose to. She should have had that taped interview sent to the other channel instead. (joke lang) There has been no official word from her management since. No replies from her top fans and people who actually know her. There has not been even an official release on her web site. Whatever the release we will be hearing about soon. I doubt it will be what really went down. Only Lani could say what it was. Because all her musical cronies are saying the same things they were told to say. And that's how its been so far.. Reminds me alot of the way its been with Regine Velasquez in the past. Its no coincidence that both artists have the same thing in common. You'd think a person who has alot going on would not just get up and go just to 'follow her husband' to the U.S. Why? Because that's the same thing with Ogie and his wife! He was going to 'follow her' because there wasn't as much happening in his career till he and Regine started their concert tour. You'd think Lani would have done the same thing and at least prerecord enough for her TV show and be right back. Not to mention she was suppose to have alot of concerts next month. Yet Ogie did talk about his family leaving long before they actually left the country. Wanna bet that almost everyone only heard about Lani leaving only recently and from the TV showbiz news after she was already gone? Someone ask Ricky Lo about it. Her official site is updated. And looking pretty nice too. And a good example of what really matters. Substance over style. And truth over fiction. Torre Inquirer News Service LAST weekend, viewers were surprised to hear that Lani Misalucha, dubbed as Asia's Nightingale and regarded as one of the country's top pop divas, had decided to give up her flourishing career here in favor of a quiet life with her husband and children in the States. Some people were shocked by Lani's decision, which they said they couldn't understand because it flew in the face of standard show biz practice in these parts. After all, Lani had a show biz career to die for, with high-paying recording, concert and TV gigs that had put her and her loved ones on easy street. Why was she giving up all that so her husband could work as a pastor in the US? Decision But people close to Lani and her family understood her decision. Unlike many other singing stars, Lani wasn't fixated on stardom and all its perks. She was a musical artist before she was a celebrity, and she felt she didn't have to play the show biz game that others were so obsessed with winning. After all, she became a star after she had gotten married and had become a mother. Like Boots Anson-Roa decades before her, Lani valued her family more than her career, while enjoying performing and all the financial rewards, popularity and acclaim that went with it. Good wife and mother Show biz success did not define her; her being a good wife and mother did. So, when the option to start a new life with her family in the States came up, Lani made what she felt was the right decision, with no regrets. Of course, her fans are disappointed-but, being more mature and less ga-ga than the usual musical groupies, they understand, and wish their nightingale well in the new chapter of her life, away from the show biz spotlight, but firmly at the center of her family's heart.
