Finally! Got something clearer about our favorite
Regine Clone. Who is viewing this forum, by the way..
For the longest time I couldn't make heads or tails
about that singer. Who she really is. Because what we
are seeing isn't the real picture. She had to be someone
or something before she became what she is now. It was
a strange thing. You just don't come out of the blue
from nowhere and go straight to the top like she did.
You just don't become a Regine Clone just like that.
Well, I was able to watch S.O.P. last Sunday and got
lucky. I was able to get a good look at her and even
watch her perform outside of her Regine Clone mode.
A rare moment. She did a spot out of her Asia Nightingale
character and maybe for once did a song in her real
person mode. Or one of her other character types she
able to mimic well at. And that was all I needed to see.
I believe I know the type of singer Lani is. And if I'm
correct she's the same kind of singer I been handling,
working with and managing for most of my musical life.
This artist is not much different from the singers I use
to deal with before. And they were also good at mimic.
Being able to copy the style and sound of most foreign
singers. And they are darn good at it.
Watch a copy of last Sunday's S.O.P. and you'll know what
I mean. I reconized the style. The great hand movements.
She really was a professional singer in a band. Talaga.
She wasn't there killing time or just hanging out. It was
what she really use to do.
And you rarely see band singers go the way she did in the
business. Some have. Kuh was in a band. Even Chiqui Pineda
was in one. I use to watch her there before she went solo
and started singing in 5-star hotels. Way before she started
doing that TV noon show.
Anyway, that is what hit me while I was watching Lani M.
perform on S.O.P. And oh yes, she good. She should be.
She must have been in the business for a long time. I can
see it as she was singing and dancing. (outside her usual
diva mode of late.)
As I mentioned several times before. I was a band manager.
A darn good one I like to add if you don't mind. I did alot
of training in the old days. Not like in showbiz. You can
pretty much throw anyone out there. Doesn't have to do with
the person having an actual talent if you know what I mean.
But in bands.. especially the kind I use to work with. You
can not get by with just a little talent. You got to have
it. At least in the bands I dealt with. And my singers were
some of the best. So good that we even tried several times
to get some of them to become recording artists. That was
the easy part. Getting them to become media/TV artists and
stars in their own right was something else. Seems everyone
who was famous was related to someone who already was. And
no one really cared about how good a singer you were. But
what kind of story you had. Know what I mean?
Till Regine came on the scene. Suddenly an artist with a
real god-given music ability. Boy, was I happy to see that.
So my very talented singers never had a good chance of
making it mainsteam media. That's what I concluded before.
But to my now big surprise one did. Not one of mine but
someone similiar. Lani M.-Regine's Clone.. My, oh my..
I should be estatic to see someone like her making it in
the music industry. And I'm happy to see one like her make
it. But there's alot of questions that need to be answered
now. And number one is what the heck is going on with this
Regine Clone thing. Why has she been trying to act like
Regine when in fact that isn't the kind of singer she
really is? she couldn't have been the first decade and a
half she's been in the business. Otherwise, why hasn't
anyone noticed her then?
And what's the deal with her manager? He's been up to no
good. Seems alot of people have been noticing now. And
Lani is right in the middle of it. Its starting to look
like she's helping him to undermine her. Not something
you expect to see from a real professional singer. eh?

Not bad at all. But its not the moves
of a diva. You're a good mimic.
No doubt about it.

This post needs to be rechecked and probably redone.
So don't anyone post under it. Because it will be
deleted. But I'm being called out of here. So I won't
be able to make the correction till tomorrow.
I can't wait. This is the kind of discover that don't
come everyday. I'm excited to see a real band singer
has been making it in the industry.
But on the sad end of things.. what has been happening..
what ever has been going on with them (her management)
and Regine is something I'm having a hard time getting
a good hold on. It should not be happening in the first
place. But it is. And I believe only because people like
Lani let it happen.
And by the way, I don't know about Regine..
But I'm not buying that 'good' friend story Lani has
been giving. hehe.. That was a mistake on her part.
Because now you have to act nice to someone I know
you really don't want to. lolz.. Have fun, Lani..
