Hey, I caught a small portion of that new CELEBRITY
TALK show with Lani M. and that funny comedian. It
shows on Sat night about 11pm(?)
Same day as Regine's SFAS, eh? hehe..
Well, I don't have to say what I'm sure they themselves
already know.. It needs alot of work. I was going to say
the show sucked terribly but I stuck around a little longer
and got a better feel about it. I take it the show is about
Lani just talking to other celebrities, right? And what's-
his-name provides the comedy relief? Who thought of this
show's concept anyway? Let me make a wild guess.. It just
had to be Lani's manager, right? Maybe he's the show's
producer too. So people chat with Lani about much ado
about nothing. Hmmm.. Almost sounds like a concept close
to Martin Nievera's old MAD program. You basically 'copied'
his idea, eh?
I'll be fair. There could be some potential with the show.
I noticed how there seems to be a serious lack of a budget
for nice furniture. Looks like you dropped a few chairs,
table and borrowed someone's over head view projector to
use as a visual for the background.
Well, even Reg's SFAS started look low tech. Now it looks
fab. So who knows. Maybe Lani will be able to do something
with that show. Whatever it is. Her guests were a brother
and sister. The brother can rap. And his pretty attractive
sister can sing! She sang a Lea Salonga song. Which I tooked
like a cool thing to do. That was about all I saw.
Here's the question now. Hey, what's Gerald doing on that
show?! How in heaven's gate did he get 'pirated' to work
with Lani M. on that show? For some reason I'm really
surprised. It just doesn't seem like something he would
do. Work on a show that is so brand new like that. I'm
intrigued. Did someone offer his some kind of percentage
on the show or something? I hope he's there because he
wants to do more work and not because Lani's handler was
up to one of his schemes again. Why do I get the feeling
Gerald is working there because of something else? He
didn't stop working for Regine, did he? Anyone got any
word on that?
If this show was on channel 2 I wonder if it would still
be on the air after a few more weeks. But like I said..
There's alot of room for improvement. The show could have
some potential. As long as no one uses it for something
else. If you know what I mean.
