This is in response to one of the messages i read here that the Crossover album turned platinum? Please check your facts. The only album sales award Lani has received so far is the gold award for her "All Heart" which turned gold after ONE YEAR. That's it. Ask Viva.

Aba. Thanks for for checking the information for us and
Regine fans. Sometime in the future I'll make a double-
check as well.
The latest album didn't go GOLD? That's too bad. It was on
the Tower Top 10 for a few weeks. I thought as a good gauge
it would have went GOLD at least.
You know they even lower the number of copies you had to
sell to go GOLD status. *sigh* They keep lowering it and
lowering it..

What I like to know now. How did Regine's last OST actually
do. That would be interesting to note. It was probably her
weakness selling album ever.
Course in Regine's case that could easily mean double-
platinum! lolz..

Here is some information from Lani herself:

She (Lani) however,
appealed to her Cebuano fans to buy her newly released album Loving
You so she could savor for the first time the feeling of receiving a
platinum award. Very humble and candid for a performer of her
caliber.
I don't know about calling her 'humble' there. But that was
without a doubt a pretty 'candid' statement from that
artist. I also believe when Lani said she 'hates being
compared to Regine' was another candid statement. And
I believe itshows she is far from being a 'humble person.'
If she said the opposite then that would have been more
like a statement from someone being humbled. Right? Well,
she later on makes that kind of statement, believe it or
not. And what a coincidence.. it was just a little time
after it was mentioned in this Regine interactive board.
Sorry, Lani.. Your first statements stay on the record.
If you said you made a mistake about something you said
before then there's always the benefit of a doubt. But
you completely ignored your first statements and tried to
pass off your second statements as the ligit ones.
Unfortunately, your first statements came out as the
headline of that article. tsk, tsk..
By the way, you ever heard of a 'good' friend who hates
being compared to that friend? Doesn't sound like much
of a friend of any kind to me. lolz..

You'd think she would feel honored for the comparisons.
Look how much time and work she put into observating Reg
and learning all she can about her. Even lurking around in
this very forum. And how many articles does she mention
Regine's name? More than enough to not be surprised about
being compared to her. It was like that was exactly what
she was looking for- people making comparsions of her with
Regine!
Unbelievable..
But those were candid statements she made, weren't they?

words she would say only because she was being told
to make them.
