Well, yung whistle register ay mas sumikat kay mariah at hindi kay minnie. Kay minnie, parang tili ang dating or "controlled scream" kay mariah, whistle talaga ang tunog at she built her carreer singing in it. At yung belting, marami nga naman ang nagbebelt bago dumating si mariah tulad ni whitney o kung sino man. Pero pagnagbelt si Mariah ay may specific na tono at color ng voice na ginagaya ni Regine. Lalo na yung parang may pagkapaos. At talaga, nauso ang belting at sumikat ito lalo na kapag kumanta ng ganito si mariah kaya talagang numero unong manggagaya si nina at particularly si regine ni Mariah!!!

I don't think what u said is enough to call those singer as copycat I think nina used whistle register in her singing technique because she can do it and not because she want to copy mariah and for regine I don't believe she is copying mariah well except when she's singing mariah's song I prefer that instead of her singing celine dion's song in shakira's voice. and I don't know what song are u talking about when u said she is using a mariah/paos type of voice. I know regine sing in a strong and powerfull belting voice. and I don't get what you mean when you said that mariah sing in "specific na tono at color ng voice" which u said regine is copying. what I know based on her CD and video clips and TV shows regine sing in her own strong voice she belt in high note and she sometimes stayed there for seconds if necessary.some singer copy another singer because it's a part of their gimmick like when lani m. sing her "diva medley" not because they wanna be famous being copycat. that's all thank you!!!

O sige bigyan mo ako ng song ni regine na may high note na nag-istay ng matagal noong una niyang album. diba wala? nagsimula lang si regine magganyan ng sumikat si mariah dahil sa pagbelt. At si nina, aminado siyang si mariah ang idol niya kaya tinutularan niya ito. (tinutularan=ginagaya). for ur info.. nauna pong nakilala si regine dito sa pinas kesa kay mariah at kilala na si regine to belt, reach and sustain high notes.. hindi nya kay mariah nakuha yun.. ok

why don't you buy and listen her old albums.. any artist would sound different as time goes by.. sino bang singer na the same pa rin ang boses for about 15 or 20 years.. aber

fyi again, regine is the only women who have made to the top ten of FHM magazine 100 sexiest women for 3 consecutive years.. and that's a feat no other sexy women have done so far... now sino ang nangangailangan nang bustlift.. bka ikaw kailangan mong i-lift ang utak mo.. nang magka sense ang pinagsusulat mo.

Maybe.. there are some singing style na "nagaya" (the more appropriate term is influence) ni regine from mariah but not only from mariah, there's barbara, celine, whitney etc.... but please.. regine have manage to have her own style in singing.. kay regine nga maraming nangagaya.. kelan ba sumikat at nabigyan nang pansin ang belting dito sa pinas.. nang sumulpot na si regine.. REGINE RULES!!!

Don't pull a good person down. Alam na nating lahat na magaling si Mariah, no question ask. Nagkataon lang na may mas nagagalingan lang kay Regine. Everyone is entitle to their own opinion.

Hmmm.. If I'm not mistaken Lani is known for her ability
to 'copy' and mimic other singer's voices. I think that is
why her PR articles would refer to her as "Multiplex-
Queen." Because whenever she did those recordings for
karoake-type music tapes she had to be as close sounding
to the actual voice of the original singer as much as possible.
I suppose when she does her Diva-medley (which she is
popularily known for doing more than anything else) she
would have to get into the character of the local artist
she is imitation by singing in that artist's voice style
as well as their personal mannerism on stage. But there's
one artist she copies more than she imitates -infamously?
And since that is usually the highlight of her concert
act for several years (and I bet still being used when
needed) I would have to disagree with you somewhat
and imagine if there ever was a good case for an artist
not minding at all for being famous as a copycat?
Then that would have to be definitely Lani.
Who is fondly referred here as Regine's Clone,
has got to be undoubtedly, one-heck of the perfect
example for it!

was still understood pretty clear about the point you
were trying to make. You just choose the wrong artist
to make it with. (the worst possible artist to use for
