Unbelievable..
The whole thing really was. But if people have to have
something to gripe about towards Regine than this is
probably the best topic to give them as far as we are
concern. Because its always been such a silly issue
to even make a gripe about. So better this and be a
little annoyed than something that would be more
troublesome to deal with.
The way I felt about it? It was obvious alot of
our own homegrown local Carey fans were taking their
insecurities to a personal all-time high. They were
having warp perceptions of Regine becoming some kind
of musical threat when she was riding high with her
R2K CD and having a video that just was so Carey-
inspired, it started rubbing alot of them as being
too close to their comfort zone of acceptance.
On the other hand, some people just used the issue
as an excuse to bring out their worst crab mentality
character to the surface.
While the rest of us with more sense we're just plainly
proud as can be about Regine. As all Filipinos should be.
Because what she did back then with her R2K album and
concert were real music events to be proud of and always
remembered.
