Subject: Lani M. Finally gets Her Wish -Brain McKnight
Greetings Music fans,
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the concert
annoucement was a bet that Lani M. would probably succeed in
getting in as the guest artist this time . And sure enough,
its now official. She's in. Are you happy na? lolz..
It was posted elsewhere:
Lani will be the special guest in the Back2Back concert of
BoyzIIMen and Brian McKnight on Feb. 13, 2004 at the
Ultra Open Field!
After Sarah Geronimo beat her to the last one I figured to
save face she would have to be the only logical choice now.
And they had to save alot of face after that shameful move
to get her as the guest artist in Mariah Carey's concert.
Ain't it interesting to note that after 3 different writers
posted in their entertainment columns that she'll be singing
with Carey and even doing a recording with her that after
she was 'taking off' the show no one bothered to make it
a entertainment news headline? It was the perfect excuse
to mob Carey at her hotel and request she make a comment
on her decision. But interestingly, not even nosey Ricky
Low bothered to go with 'a real scoop' for once.
And yet when the 'entirely false' story about Regine & Carey
came out about some comments none of them actually made before?
The issue gained so much attention that it was even debated
among several Q.C. government officials!
Just wondering if you fans had noticed that. You'd think
that kind of shocking development of Carey rejecting Lani
right before the concert day would have merit the front
pages. Along with all the pictures of her that were on
the front pages. And to think that was a story that
really happened! My question was if music fans were
so interested in finding out what happened to Regine
when she lost her visa, how come no one cared to ask
what happened with Lani that Carey would react that way?
Welcome to the real showbiz reality. Where you're feed
what isn't even real about the artists while what is
real and true is kept under wraps and low-keyed.
Just look at the false Ogie-Regine rumors. Someone is
insisting on keeping it in the spotlight. To the point
even the writers who are feed the story are starting
to question it themselves. Why is it being pushed so
hard? To make the lie become the reality? Who would
want that?!
Here's a good hint about the whole think -
Its an attack on Regine personally for hiring her own
sister as her 'new manager.' The message? Either you
hire your old ex-manager back or you just manage
yourself alone.

Regine forum recently. You did good for everyone. )
As for Lani..good for her she's finally going to sing
at a McKnight concert. But check this intriguing thing
out .. this is posted in Lani's 'official' web site as
part of her profile :
Lani is also the preferred choice of foreign artists who have
come to Manila to perform. She was the special guest of music
industry icons Kenny Loggins, Brian McKnight, Sergio Mendes
& Stephen Bishop.

tell you she was picked by McKnight to sing with her? The
only article I seen on Stephen Bishop was giving praises to
Regine. I didn't see him mention Lani. And an article on
Sergio Mendez's show gave advice to Lani and mentioned the
guest singer should at least be better than the back-up
singers of the visiting foreign artist!
How's that for the difference between what actually did
happen and the lengths some will take to change it so
you'll hear and see it as they want you to.
I personally don't like being manipulated to see
what someone else wants me to see or think that
isn't true.

If he's so darn offended then why doesn't he
just unsubscribed from the Regine mailing lists?!
Its the dumbest thing I have ever read yet!!
Someone calling the fans of an artist "low-class"
while he shamelessly tries to defend an artist
who has been showing to have the exact kind of
character in the way he describes those fans to
be! (the actions and hidden motives are insulting)
So what does that make him?
Hint:
Think of a word that can extend from 'hipo'
but with a hypo. lol..
'nuf said.

He's the perfect example of what a fool's fool
would be. The kind who thinks he's finally winning
an argument till he realizes the person he was
fighting with was his own reflection in the mirror.

Yet its hard to say that was a real bad curse word
since I heard Bart Simpson say it on TV. And even
repeated it alot after he reminded his mom that
technically that isn't considered a curse word.
