Is DOLLYWOOD posting for the Regine & Pops detractors

LATELY it seems that Dollywood on the Inquirer
has been posting alot about Pops & Martin and
even about Regine and Ogie. But is she doing
it as a writer and friend? Some of the info
she has been posting have been questionable
and it is noted she is being feed tidbits
from someone who definitely is tied to the
Regine, Ogie, Martin and Pops detractor.
She was being praised for posting info
on Pops on the fans yahoo group. But I
think its time to re-evaluate this writer
as being a true supporter and friends for
our admired artists, idols and friends.
Me thinks she is now being influenced
and manipulated as well. Be warned and
on the look out about her postings,
pinoy entertainment fans.. This report
will be followed up with more information.

True-to-life
Keanna Reeves is bent on showing all and sundry that she’s not a
Negastar anymore. After all the bad press she got lately, she’s out
to win the hearts of the public anew in Reality
Entertainment’s “Binibining K” (directed by Joven Tan, opening Sept.
13). It’s a heartwarming rags-to-riches story. Keanna plays a simple
girl who dreams of being a princess. So true-to-life for this
controversial PBB winner. Does Binibining K really have ‘K’ in spite
of all the negative issues hounding her?
‘Twilight Dancers’
IN A country where boundaries no longer exist between show biz,
politics and prostitution, the gay bar has become a symbol of
society. The moment its doors open, anything can come in through the
door to bring fame, money, and sometimes danger to the macho dancer.
Centerstage Productions’ “Twilight Dancers” offers a disturbing yet
humorous look at Philippine social realities through the eyes of
three macho dancers.
Tyrone Perez, who plays a dancer at the peak of his trade, shrugs off
rumors that he has a gay benefactor. “Just because my role is like
that doesn’t mean I’m like that as well in real life. I’m still
paying for my car by installment. I don’t have a rich lover to help
me with that.”
As the club’s manager in the film, Arnell Ignacio puts it so
aptly: “We are only here to serve the carnal desires of men.” The
show has to go on. The Ricardo Lee-Mel Chionglo masterpiece will have
its world premiere at the Toronto International Festival on Sept. 8.
Local screenings start Sept. 20. “Twilight Dancers” will shed light
on what happens in the dark.

DOLLYWOOD :
Ogie keeps mum on reported annulment moves
By Dolly Anne Carvajal/Inquirer

Take note of the way Dollywood was wording her short
interview with Ogie. The next day or so Ogie had to
answer in several articles that there is nothing true
about the annulment rumors ( being spread by Abunda
and his media showbiz cronies ) and that his marriage
to Michelle is still strong. So is DOLLYWOOD now one
of those being used to spread the false stories about
Regine & Ogie and Pops & Martin that the Inside Buzz
has traced to media publicist Boy Abunda? It does
look that way. Be on guard to anything she posts now.
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
I TEXTED Ogie Alcasid about the news of his filing for annulment of
his marriage to Michelle Van Eimeren. He texted back: “I would like
to keep mum about anything (sic). Tnx 4 ur friendship &
understanding. Love u Swty.”
As a friend, I respect Ogie’s decision to remain silent for now. In
time, I’m sure he will be emotionally ready, willing and able to
talk. For show biz watchers, it really comes as no surprise because
talk about Ogie’s marriage being on the rocks never waned. It started
when Michelle and their two kids moved to her native Australia.
Rumors about Ogie’s romance with Regine Velasquez also persist, to
the point that it has become a running joke. But who’s joking now?
Separation is no laughing matter. A third party may either be the
cause or the effect of the breakup. But whatever the reason, ex-
couples like Ogie and Michelle must remember that just because their
relationship ended doesn’t mean that it failed.

Love moves in extremely show biz ways
By Dolly Anne Carvajal/ Inquirer 08/23/2006
NOTE: BELOW DOLLYWOOD posts on the artists being handled by
Boy Abunda and even Regine's ex-handler working with GMA-7.
Just making those links clear and their ties known. -mmJun

Lipo a la Belo
Concert Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas is no longer smarting from her
breakup with a nondescript ex-BF. She has smartened up by loving
herself and her body more, with a little help from Dr. Vicki Belo’s
Smart lipo.
“Nagpasexy ako hindi para bumalik ang papa kong bagets but to welcome
the new one coming! Mas masakit pa ang kirot ng heartache than the
lipo! Faster din ang recovery.” It’s the same procedure that Ara
Mina, Claudine Barretto and Mylene Dizon went through. I am
contemplating one myself (in time for my birthday). As we age, we
ought to maintain our market value. And that’s exactly what Ai-Ai is
doing.
She is raring to flaunt her new fab form as she dons her tight
costume for “Super Ai Returns” on Aug. 31, 10 p.m. at Zirkoh Timog.
Joining her are Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga. Call (0922) 888-4733.
Eternal love team
Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras are not out to give their fans false
hopes in “Eternity.” No reconciliation for them, but the beauty of
the movie itself should be enough reason to watch it.
“I admit there are some scenes with Jen where I almost forgot that
we’re not lovers anymore. I miss kissing her the way I used to,”
sighs Mark. Says Jen, “I psyche myself that it’s just work. Our being
just friends na lang helped me in being more relaxed sa mga eksena
namin. No more tension unlike when we were still on. Konting tampuhan
apektado performance namin.” Although Mark and Jen may no longer
relive their moments as lovers, at least they were able to recapture
the feelings even just for their scenes in the film.

DOLLYWOOD :Actor ‘in the basement’

Prima donna
An insider from Viva Films’ “Reyna” laments Keanna Reeves’ prima
donna ways. “She’s the cause of delay, with all her quirks in wearing
costumes. She even makes big stars wait because she takes a dinner
break for three hours. And most of her scenes have to be reshot
because her acting is so bland. She even complains about working
everyday instead of counting her blessings.” It’s sad that Keanna has
forgotten the days when she had no money to count.
Jealous type
Even if Martin Nievera has already apologized for the unsavory
remarks he blurted out about his ex-wife Pops’ FHM sexy pictorial,
his reaction only goes to show that he still feels for her. I
remember when they were still together, Pipay would often tell me
that Mart is really the jealous type. He didn’t want her to wear
short skirts or stand too close to an ex-BF while singing a duet.
Maybe Martin is forgetting that even if Pops remains the mother of
his two sons, she is her own woman now.
Showgirl
Tomorrow at the Big Dome, Vina Morales will take the next bold step
in her career via a major solo concert called “Showgirl.” She will do
exciting song and dance numbers that will show everyone why she is
dubbed “the ultimate performer.” Joining her are Ogie Alcasid, Jay-R,
Shaina Magdayao and Ai-Ai de las Alas. For tickets, call 911-5555.

More from DOLLYWOOD :
Gretchen Barretto, Ruffa Guttierrez, Dawn Zulueta and Pops Fernandez
are slated to do a movie a la “Desperate Housewives.” Wonder who
their leading men will be? Heard that Rustom Padilla was originally
included but since it would preempt his comeback vehicle, “Zsa Zsa
Zaturnnah,” he was dropped from the cast. Nope, he wasn’t supposed to
be one of the wives.

And more:
Keanna Reeves never had it so good. That’s why she’s not handling
fame properly. Her head has swollen to a size bigger than her
breasts. She kinda reminds me of Ethel Booba. Perfect figure.
Imperfect English. (Not to mention that Andrew Wolfe, Ethel’s ex, is
now Keanna’s flame). There was a time Ethel reigned supreme on GMA 7.
A director told me that it was Ethel’s attitude problem that caused
her downfall. The two sexy comediennes had humble beginnings.
Somewhere along the way to fame, they lost that humility. Are they
also both going to have a tragic ending?

DOLLYWOOD- Wanted: Inspiration for Dennis Trillo
By Dolly Anne Carvajal / Inquirer
Last updated 00:28am (Mla time) 08/03/2006
Published on Page D6 of the August 3, 2006 issue of the Philippine
Daily Inquirer
DENNIS Trillo is out to rock your world as Indimusic’s first
recording artist. No less than Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid (who
formed Indimusic) believe in Dennis’ potential as a singer. They plan
to release his debut album before his major concert at the Big Dome
in November. “It’s surreal,” Dennis says. “I used to sing with my
band just as a hobby. Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself as
a professional singer.”
He describes his style as edgy. “I will have a duet with Regine in my
album and hopefully, compose a song, too. I want to have my own sound
though my packaging will be a la John Mayer, perhaps.”
What he also wants is an inspiration. “I’m loveless! I wish I had
someone to sing my songs for. Problem is, I don’t like courting
girls. I prefer things to just develop between us.”
I teased him, “What about Regine? You’ll be seeing a lot of her while
finishing your album.” He blushed. “Who wouldn’t be attracted to her?
But I look up to her as a boss. Nananaig ang respect ko for her more
than anything.”
Full calendar. Empty heart. Deep emotional reservoir as an actor. Let
the musician in Dennis say the rest.
OPM
Speaking of Indimusic, how can it fail as a recording label when it’s
backed up by two of the most INDImand singers ever?
“I can’t be singing forever,” Regine says. “When I retire I still
want to be part of the biz so I might as well start now by
discovering new artists.” Ogie agrees. “Music has always been our
passion. Our first project will be the album of Dennis and then the
soundtrack of Regine’s movie with Robin, ‘Till I Met You.’”
They have the blessings of Vic del Rosario to go on their own. Only
their contracts with Viva expired, not their friendship with Boss Vic.
Regine fondly calls Ogie “Mr. President”—his designation in their
company. She’s chief financial officer. During the launch, their
chemistry was evident even in unguarded moments. But to tease them on
their rumored romance would make one sound like a broken record.
It’s enough that their partnership cannot be pirated. They made it
without having to fake it. And so will Indimusic, eventually. It’s
OPM in a sense—Outstanding Partners’ Mission.
