was directed to file the suit against YES magazine by the Regine,
Pops and other female artist detractor! And only Regine fans know

The Quezon City Prosecutors Office on Monday recommended the filing
of three counts of libel against the actress Claudine Barretto for
issuing derogatory statements against the editor-in-chief of an
entertainment magazine that were published on July 25, 2005.
In recommending the charges, Assistant City Prosecutor Lawrence Chua
Cheng 5th said he found basis in the allegation of Jo-Ann Maglipon,
Yes Magazine editor-in-chief, that Barretto had, with "malicious
intent," impeached her reputation.
Maglipon also alleged that Barretto’s statements, which appeared in
the People’s Journal, had exposed her "to public hatred and
scandal."
In an eight-page resolution dated August 28, 2006, Chua Cheng said
Barretto’s statements also appeared in People’s Tonight and was
shown in a GMA 7 program.
Chua Cheng said the articles containing Barretto’s statements "had
for its object to insinuate and made it understood and interpreted
by the public who read it that [Maglipon] is an irresponsible
journalist and human-rights violator."

always thought just a normal showbiz thing and happens
all the time?
This was not showbiz. It was something shamefully
evil and done on purpose by a showbiz celebrity
on the orders of a media practitioner against
another media practitioner. It was done to
keep some truths about him hidden ..
