Following a story on Pops. A Regine fan in the Asia's
Songbird said something strange there to me about ..
well, I'll hold that thought for now. But it did give
me ideas about checking up on what's happening with
Pops Fernandez. She'll be doing concerts with Regine
in the U.S. and even Kuh Ledesma soon. All three singers
updates are being reported and posted in the Inside
Music Buzz and several music artist yahoo groups.
Pops manager was that Arnold who took on Mother Lily
before for that much-wanted movie part before. ( see
article below.. )
I remember who he is now. He should be good at getting
Pops some new projects. I'll post some of the info
on him here since Pops is a close career/music career
crony of Regine.

An article started :
Dina and her manager, a certain Arnold Vegafria, are hurting –
understandably. According to a Funfare source, this certain Arnold
Vegafria "screamed" at Mother Lily when he learned the other night
that Lorna was "it" (as third-wife) and Dina was out, and threatened
to sue Mother Lily for, don’t look now, "lost opportunity." What’s
that? Check out a legal book near you.
This certain Arnold Vegafria is also reportedly poised to declare
a "word war" on Lolit Solis, Lorna’s manager, who threatened to pull
out Christopher de Leon, his other talent in the Mano Po cast, if
Lorna wouldn’t get the "third-wife" role. (Of course, in real life,
all women prefer to be the first wife and not–never!–the second or
the third. But the Mano Po "third-wife" role is said to
be "challenging" and "demanding," thus the big row and the big
brouhaha.)
The plot is getting thicker. With Dina’s manager taking on Lolit, a
noted (notorious?) gerilyera, expect explosions you’ve never heard
during the mutiny/"failed coup." Dina’s manager is a relative
greenhorn in the field while Lolit has clout and a name/reputation
which, in some situations, can send shivers down the spine of
producers.
Dina has let loose quite a mouthful about the issue while Lorna,
every inch a lady, has remained mum. The "war" is shifting between
this certain Arnold Vegafria and Lolit Solis. Brace yourselves for
interesting times on national television.

Pops Produced a show! And Interestingly with the former
(or still) writers of THE BUZZ who are also commedians.

John Lapus is very happy with the break given him by ABC-5 to host
his own show titled Blind Item. The show premiered last Nov. 5. It’s
a talk show cum game show that airs at 8 p.m. after the PBA games.
After being the co-host of Ai Ai de las Alas in Sing-Galing, John is
flattered to host a show all his own on ABC-5.
“It’s very flattering that ABC-5 gave me this chance to do my own
show even if I’m not what you’d call (a) popular celebrity,” says
John who sees doing Blind Item as a challenge to his hosting
abilities. “ABC-5 says it’s about time I’m given a show of my own.
They believe in my capability to host my own show.”
Aside from doing Blind Item, John Lapus co-stars with Jon Santos in
the comedy show, Ang Ganda at Zirkoh Club Timog Avenue on Nov. 11,
12, 18, 19, 25, 26.
Produced by Pops Fernandez and DSL productions, Ang Ganda will
feature the comedians getting into the characters of Vilma Santos,
Nora Aunor, Rosanna Roces, Dr. Vicki Belo, Cory Aquino, Kris Aquino,
and many others. Who will upstage whom in this show? Jon and John
will be have the Streetdancers as backup. Every night, a hunk will
be the surprise guest.
