As for sick. Well, couldn't be that serious. Besides, if anyone is surrounded by good friends its Pops. Don't worry too much. Anything fans should know fans are told. On behalf of the artist.. Thanks for caring. They do that alot in the other board too. The artist miss one weekend and they are fans all worried for nothing. Usually they are doing a booked show and its too much to do the tv show then rush to do their booked show somewhere else. Pops is busy these days rpomoting her new album. Inquirer columnist Anton San Diego (who according to him, Pops is one of his best friend in another article), wrote on his column last Sunday that he was truly excited because he was about to take a vacation cruise aboard a cruise ship liner for three days starting Sunday. About 30 guests were invited and guess who will board that cruise ship? Pops' name was mentioned first along with other society who's who and celebrities. They will cruise around China, Hongkong and Vietnam. So that was probably where Pops was all the time. Not jetsetting but cruise-setting?? Kainggit naman. Hope this will calm you down.

And just the other day on cable TV (HBO?) there was a movie about a Cruise ship filled with VIPS and these armed bad guys got the bright idea of hijacking the ship and its passengers for money! I'm just a nervious wreck now! (LOL) Hey, they probably got internet there! Who wants to make a good guess? Pops is probably checking her mail and showing off her official site (and our fab fan sites) to her priends! Hopefully proud as a peacock about it. She came with her kids. The whole affair was reportedly a media junket for a Hongkong based cruise liner. On another note, finally, got a copy of her latest CD (after 3 weeks of waiting, they were out of stock in SM Sn Fdo) and I must say it's a winner. I didn't expected the album to be this good. She's really a clincher for heart wrenching songs because I guess she sings with a lot of passion. What's better is they are all OPM (except for the title track). The songs remind me of hits from the Metro Pop years with their tunog Pinoy-OPM sound and some Apo Hiking Society songs. This Ogie Alcasid guy is really something else. He writes music and lyrics hauntingly (could be another Ryan Cayabyab in the making). I especially like 'Ikaw na nga kaya' and 'Bakit ka lumayo'. I also like listening to the very contemporary appeal of 'Nagkamali ba ang puso', 'Pano ba yon' and ' Tinatanong pa ba yon'. Funny, though, most of the songs are posed as questions. But I really like the OPM flavor. It's been a long time we've had new songs like these since most artists prefer to sing revivals. And this is something really refreshing. I'm no music critic but most of the songs in this album, I really like.I'm sure come awards season, Pops' is gonna be merited an nomination at the very least, or hopefully, an award.
