No ‘deal’ between Martin and Pops

for doing it by the the camp of Martin. )

When news came out that Martin Nievera’s girlfriend, Katrina Ojeda, gave birth to their baby, Santino, Martin’s ex-wife, Pops Fernandez came out on "The Buzz" and said there’s still pain and anger when she learned about Martin’s son with another girl, even when they have been separated for eight years now. She claimed Martin promised her he would not get any girl pregnant even after their annulment.

"I thought it’s gonna kill me," Pops said – something that others found to be really ironic, considering that she has been involved with other men after Martin – like Troy Montero, Brad Turvey, Jacques Dupasquier and now, Jomari Yllana.

A source who talked to Martin disclosed even the concert king was surprised when he learned about Pops’ reaction. "Why now would it kill her to know I have a baby when she is so over me?," Martin was quoted as saying.

The source added Martin never made any promise or any "deal" with Pops about not having babies or not. He was then pleading with her not to get an annulment unless one of them was ready to get married. But Pops totally ignored that deal.

Martin has been seriously involved with only one girl, Katrina, since the break-up of his marriage with Pops. Sadly, we cannot say the same thing for Pops. Martin has moved on and now has a new life in Las Vegas, with Katrina and their baby Santino. Pops should do the same.

Martin will be inevitably swamped with questions when he returns to Manila briefly for a one-night concert on Nov. 24 at SM Mall of Asia, produced by Maxi-Media. It will be a farewell concert of sorts for Martin, who will be booked for a year-long stint at the Steve Wyrick Theater at the Aladdin Hotel (soon to be the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas), which he will open next month.
