THANKS BILL. Glad someone FINALLY told the truth about Jake and his dogs! Somewhere people got the misconception all his dogs were red/red nose. They WEREN'T! Many of his dogs had white on them like Geronimo. So many wonder why mine, if they are OFRN, aren't also all red/red nose. BECAUSE THE OFRN WAS NEVER "ALL" RED! People were lead to believe this was a sign of purity, it WASN'T! I've explained why I thought Creed dogs were OFRN stock because of tracing back through Bruce's Jerry and the Fly of Panama breeding. But people claimed because of the white marking my dogs get from time to time they weren't pure OFRN. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "PURE" OFRN! NEVER WAS! ALL red nose dogs have black nose somewhere in their pedigree, some just closer up in the pedigree then others! Hell I believe Sarona dogs were OFRN because of the heavy amount of Clouse in them. Clouse females were based off Skagg's Hemphill blood with either Tice/I.D. Cole OFRN blood from Ch. Butcher Boy or from Clouse's Stabber heavy in Corvino blood. Sure Mary added a little black nose here and there but what she was trying to do is add a bit more power because she was trying to keep getting winners! >But like all area's of the country some dogs become >well known, magoo, inferno.morgans red bear, maybe one if >not the most famous dogs around mid central Florida >that went by the name of Smith's OTTO OTTO,this dog >was the number one stud around these parts. Also one if >not the best all around dogs even though his color was >not like his sire and dam as he was black brindle and >named DRACULA or by his owner name with drac attached >to it.He was a great dog.And to leave out the dog that >made sorona a gifted line down here SORONA KE-LO OR >CAYENNE PEPPER MAGOO'S GRAND SIRE. I owned dogs from Otto. Off him, all the way down to Gr. Ch. Solution. Most of this blood was from Red Devil bloodline crossed with Eli. A lot from Devine, Wise, Reddick, etc. Some was pretty good, some not so good. I also agree with you about ill-tempered dogs. I think any line of dogs can produce it. Is it congenial fault? Who knows? Environment? Maybe. Whatever the reasons, it happens and it happens in ALL breeds of dogs! [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
