What was your other forum like? Inside the web displaced many of my favorite boards, but I had never visited your board before.
I am on my second copy of this movie, the one with the extra footage.
I'm looking forward to some interesting discussions.....Will check back soon, MaryB

Hello Mary and welcome! I liked the format of ITW alot and it will take awhile to get used to this format. The FGT forum on ITW was a huge success and it's unfortunate you didn't have an opportunity to visit that board and offer you input and thoughts. I'm sure we will make this just as successful.

FGT is my fave all time movie also BARNONE! I have the DVD collectors edition and lots of movie memorbilia thanks to a wonderful friend I met via the old forum. He was most gracious and generous to me. I hope he will visit soon. He was a great contributer to the forum and things would not have worked if he hadn't been such an asset.

I will look forward to many discussion on the film. Please offer any advice, input or suggestion you like. This is for all of us and lets have some fun!!!

hello all your fans. i am interested to read so many people like this movie- i think its great too. i have a question though- in the book it clearly shows idgie is a lesbian and the two women have a lesbian r.ship. why is the film reluctant to imply this??? cheers nicky

I think Hollywood dowsized the relationship of Idgie and Ruth from the book to generate more box office appeal. More importantly I think they wanted to show just the amazing gift of undying love and friendship they shared. The sexual aspect of their relationship was not made an issue because ultimately it isn't what they were about or what their relationship truly represented. They were just two woman who happened to find peace and comfort in each other and in their lives. They had the best you could ever hope for or want in your life or in friendships.

Does anyone know where I can get an estimated value of a 1943 Original Movie Poster of Bonanza? Also if so where I would go to find if someone is interested in it?

i have come across and aquired a box full of movie posters, older posters that are in good shape, some of them were still in the envelopes that they were distributed in. I find them fasinating and will keep only a few for my self, but i need to sell the rest a.s.a.p. i am a full time student and going through a nasty divorce, so i am in need of funds for gas, ect.. i have an original rambo, ware wolf in london, some bronson movies, zombie, and many many more. i also have display set ups that you would of seen in an videi store (over sized vcr boxes 1'1/2"x10" apporox.) The posters are small med large x-large. I have a firestarter cardboard poster(very nice).I will take any reasonable offer, and i will give my deepest appreciation to whom ever will help me with the sale of these items! thank you! kim >>and it will take awhile to get used to this format.
