I think Hollywood dowsized the relationship of Idgie and Ruth from the book to generate more box office appeal. More importantly I think they wanted to show just the amazing gift of undying love and friendship they shared. The sexual aspect of their relationship was not made an issue because ultimately it isn't what they were about or what their relationship truly represented. They were just two woman who happened to find peace and comfort in each other and in their lives. They had the best you could ever hope for or want in your life or in friendships.

Does anyone know where I can get an estimated value of a 1943 Original Movie Poster of Bonanza? Also if so where I would go to find if someone is interested in it?
