That also means that douche bags are no longer sold. Everything is disposable now. I went to the feminine hygiene section and there were a few disposable douches. And the Fleet enemas were also on the shelf. How boring!

What a shame. But we saw it coming. The sad thing is that kids and young people today don't know what an enema is because they've never had one. If they did have one, some would obviously hate the experience, but others would come to love them like those of us here. Point is, they won't be able to make that choice. I'm glad my mom gave me enemas as a kid in the 60s because if she hadn't I'd never have know how wonderful enemas can be.

Enemas at home may be becomming less popular, but there is a big increase in professionally given ones, but now they are called Colon Hydrotherapy. There are at least 9 in this metro area, whereas 20 years ago there was only 1, and it takes a week or more to get an appointment at most of the clinics.

The only real difference is that you release on the machine or through the speculum, rather than having to run for the toilet.

There are many "real differences" to the bag vs. the machine in a clinic. At home, you have options, intimacy, and privacy, just to mention a few. There is something very exciting and sexy about home enemas. And can you bring your spouse or your girlfriend to the clinic to join you in such a treatment? No, the enema is about dead as we know it. I wish there was a way to revive it, but with the medical profession preferring pills and drugs to a natural treatment, it's a lost cause.

True, a Colon Hydrotherapy session is not an erotic experience with any reputable therapist, but couples do come in and both remain while while one then the other has a session.
