I guess mum started using punishment suppositories when I was about 5 years old, maybe 6 (we were in the early 80's, anyway)...but it's quite difficult to remember precisely, because, as I said before, in that period mum was used to gave me glycerin suppositories very often for my constipation.
So there was a sort of "grey zone"... in many cases I couldn't know if she really thought that my "crankiness" was caused by constipation or if she simply meant to punish me for my bad behaviour.
As I was growing up, indeed, the situation slowly changed: since when I was about 8 y.o. I knew exactly when a punishment suppository was going to be administered and its reason, because my mother introduced the specific "ritual" I've just described.
During that period of my childhood (approximately 8-12) , I can say that I regularly received a "suppository treatment" at least twice a month...
