 In my 20's, while in the service, I was in a coma for 10 days. When I returned, I was severely constipated because of the long period with no bowel activity. Doctor's could not get me going again. A nurse suggested the M&M. Tried it and it worked. I was mostly out of it and don't know much more.

My wife works in a hospital pharmacy. About 5 years ago they got a new female doctor in Emergency. She specifically asked the pharmacy to carry milk and molasses, because she liked to give M&M enemas to emergency patients. That was a real surprise.
