In reply to: Bruce 's message, "Ivory Soap" on Monday, July 23, 2012, 04:31: pm

I still use Ivory soap and am able to purchase it at our local Wal Mart. Always brings back fond memories of childhood experience.

Someone mentioned "Fels-Naptha" and yes that was used at our house also particularly in the 1940s.It was used mainly to wash our clothing with - - we had "hard water" and Fels-Naptha would still make suds even in the hard water. Mother never used it in enemas only the Ivory soap was used for our enema injections.
