 This an interesting thought. I asked my colon therapist about the idea. She mentioned Barton Hospital at South Tahoe CA, has a procedure using colonics. I read about the hospital in CT.

Rob, I do not doubt that a colonic could do a great job clening the colon (large intestine) but the small intestine also needs to be cleaned out or it will dribble bowl movement (the gift that keeps on giving) into the large intestine. This is why laxatives & prep are neeeded. Hope methods of cleaning continue to improve. The nasty tasteing prep is not as bad as it once was in both volume and taste, but, as they say you would never order it in a resturant.
