For me constipation comes at the end of my cycle. Some months I am just miserable. Combine constipation with that bloated feeling, tenderness in the breasts, and not having most of your clothes feel right and you start to get a sense of what PMS is really all about. Once my period starts, however, everything is just fine.
When I was in college I used to take a laxative at the outset. One month I was out of laxative and so was everyone else that I asked in the sorority house. One of the older sisters told me to do a small, warm enema instead. At first I was turned off at the idea, but rather than walking downtown to buy laxative I tried it. It relieved the constipation in the warmth was very comforting. I wound up doing an enema almost every month since then. I hope I answered some of your questions.

kathy & christine. yhanks so much for the info. i guess i'm somewhat clear on it. Hot enemas for the cramping im not sure yet why cold was the hot enemas soapy or plain kathy? you must of had a great mom. are the periods constipating? making you need enemas for that as well. christine how does cold enemas effect your period? wouldn't it be better to just take the hot enemas? i guess i don't get the cold enema need.. i know hot enemas are used for men for prostate problems and can see where hot enemas to clear constipation during the period is good as with prostate problems constipation makes it worse.. any way im off the subject. it's really swell of you both to tell me what you could. in summary: hot to relirve cramps, cold to return to normal or settle things down and regular enemas for the constipation that goes with it. tell me if i got it wrong.I've never heard of scotch douche. but most women i know always douched after the period. i don't know how they did it so kathy thanks for telling me. i guess most girls douche often. i'm glad because its much better when i give them oral sex. i don't like the flavored douches, prefer a natural taste. sorry off again . many thanks buddy
