I couldn't agree more. I was born in 1948 and my parents and grandparents believed in the benefits of enemas. Enemas were always used for constipation and other routine ailments. In those days, doctors made housecalls and I always knew I would have an enema as soon as he left. While I never saw anyone having an enema, I knew that all took them. Neither my mother nor grandmother hid the enema bags. The bags always hung behind the bathroom door or from the shower curtain rod to dry after use.
