I think it is more important just how your wife felt about it. You had a legitimate need, and you were just asking her to help. My wife went through the trouble of volunteering to prep me because she wanted to spare me the humiliation of having a female stranger do it at the hospital before my colonoscopy. My wife insisted on me getting checked out because I was having problems, and had no gripes about giving me an enema. The enema wasn't much fun though, but I'm glad it was from my wife, and not from one of the hospital CNAs. Those girls are young enough to be my kids...19 or 20 years old maybe.
