It was exactly one person who had given me an enema: my great-aunt. I was about 15 years old and I had an influenza and was constipated. I knew that my great-aunt was experienced in preparing and giving enemas, so I received from her in a very lovely manner my first enema; it was a warm soapy enema and I will never forget this fine experience.

My mother gave me on an average of one a week during my childhood. Her sister gave me one as I had accidently dropped a "BM" on the street at about 5 years old while playing with my girl cousins. Later we went back to look at it and discovered someone had stepped on and mushed it! I seem to vaguely recall a babysitter attempting to give my sister and me enemas one evening. We refused to ever have that elderly woman sit with us again!
