Hello Eddy...
I have used a flow indicator; however, I've never found it to be of much use. My enema tubing has a reverse flow protection device therefore, an enema cannot flow back into my enema bags. This is a great way of making sure that your enema fluid does not go back into the bag thus contaminating it.
I tend to agree with you that seeing the solution flow into the rectum is helpful. I usually maintain constant flow by hanging the bag at about 30 inches above my anus. This makes for a comfortable flow that is not too rapid.

Hi George. I have a six quart pluss enema bag and I take large volume enemas frequently. Sometimes a series of several enemas in a session. My flow indicator tells me that the solution is running into my colon very slowly, hardly at all, but still filling me. I dont like cramps or sudden discomfort of any kind. But I do want a complete fill. The very slow inflow which I can see and therefore control, allows a more complete colon fill with no problem. The slower, the better enema I can take.
