Yes enemas are still given frequently in hospitals, at least in metro Manila. I know as an orderly it is rare that I do not give at least one patient an enema ands I probably average giving ten to twelve patients cleansing enemas a week for a total of about 60 to 80 cans or bags to ensure a clean return flow. How many patients per shift depends on the shift with the most given in the night shift, followed by the pm/evening shift and the fewest in the morning/day shift. Most of the ones I give are for patients preparing for surgery the next morning or for various Xrays like Barium Enema or for colonoscopy prep. I have shift rotations each two weeks so i see the different pattern by time of duty shift. Home enemas are common but not universal. My wife and I do believe in them for ourselves and our children as did our parents. As for enema clinics I am not aware of any, hover the cancer center of the philipinnes does offer coffee enemas in their clinic in Quezon City which is part of Metro Manila andmyou can avail that service there even if you are not suffering from cancer. Check out www.cancer center.ph the clinic is in quezon City and the director is a very nice young MD, Dr. Lim I think is his name. The fee is I think 500 pesos or about $ 12 plus a one time charge of 500 pesos for your own enema bucket which you can take home with you so you can bring it back should you wish further follow up treatments. Their focus is alternative cancer treatments and they are very nice. It also has another name, but I don't remember it. It is a nice clean clinic and they also do dialaysis there. Let me know if you experience a coffee enema treatment there. The director Dr. Lim is also affiliated with "the farm in San Benito in Batangas but that is a very expensive exclusive detox resort but if you have lots of money it is a wonderful experience for a few days of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. They do many treatments there including colonics and also coffee and soap colemas and various forms of massage. It is so very beautiful there and the staff is so very wonderful. A few years ago my father in law gave us a 4 day retreat there as a present and it was unbelievable. As part of the regime they also have a nurse come to your cottage and give a wheatgrass enema held overnight. After that experience my wife and I added the wheatgrass retention enema into our quarterly family detox ritual.
