When I'm getting a colonic, my therapist will alternate between very warm water, then cool water. During warm fills, the water gets warm enough to cause me to sweat. I usually get a diarrhea like cramp during the warm fill, and ask her to release much sooner than the cool fills. She alternates to cool, and I'm able to take in more water and hold it longer till the urge to release. She says the warm fills are what does the most at breaking up old waste in the colon. As uncomfortable as it is sometimes, a colonic is nothing as bad as a hospital enema. Hospital enemas are IMHO uncomfortably hot, too soapy, you have to hold too much at once, and the tube feels like it's up your butthole 2 miles. At least a colonic makes you feel good, and not violated.
