 I think my grandmother played a major part in seeing that I got an enema. She would say to my mom that she thought I needed an enema. Usually my mom would agree. I remember one time I had spent the night at her house and as we were finishing breakfast my gram said you better have an enema. I said I didn't need one and didn't want my. My grandfather swept me up, got my pajama bottoms off and carried me into the bathroom. The filled bag was already hanging from the doorknob. He got me on the floor on my stomach and my gram got the pipe in me and started to fill me. I managed to pop the pipe out four or five times and she put it back in me. I thought I was done when my grandfather said gram he better have another one there is a lot on the floor not helping him. Then he told me I better stop fighting. I said I didn't want one. I hated them. He picked me off the toilet and he sat on the toilet and bent me across him and swatted me with a shower backbrush six or seven times. He told me to do what he was telling me. I got on the floor on my back and my grandmother refilled the bag and put the pipe in me and the enema filled me. After I went she told my grandfather I really need that second enema. She kept suggesting or giving me enemas even when I was in college.

I think in many families the grandmother is a big influence. I was about ten when I got my first enema. Mom told grandma that the prune juice didn’t work and she was going to give me more at bedtime. Grandma told mom I didn’t need more prune juice, I needed an enema. I didn’t know what that meant but it couldn’t be any worse than the prune juice. When mom called me to the bathroom I was surprised that I had to take off my clothes. She said she was going to put some warm water in my hinder, and to bend over the tub. She squirt some warm water in my butt with a white bulb. She did it twice and in a few minutes I had to go pretty bad. Mom told me she was sorry she had to do that to me but I would soon feel better. As I sat on the toilet I was thinking, I think I like this.

i agree that grandparents are probably a big reason why enemas are passed down to the younger generations. my grandmom helped my mom give them to me and my brother and as i got older my mom told me she and her sisters got enemas often when growing up. i have a girlfriend who had similar experiences with enemas when growing up.

I agree. Our moms learned most of what they know from grandma, and they passed it down to us. I got several enemas from grandma when I stayed at her house during summer vacation. I got my first enema with a bag from grandma.

I'm sure my mom learned her enema skills from her mom. But when it came time for me to be given enemas, Granny just gave support, such as holding up the white can or my legs when I would not pull them back myself.

To Ed....did it bother you at all to have your grandmother watch you get an enema? How old were you when she last assisted your mother in giving you an enema? Do you think this experience, with your grandmother, contributed to your developing a fetish for the enema scene and/or can you point to a reason for your interest in enemas?

I think the process of being given an enema at 4-6 was more important than who was there. I would however been more uncomfortable if a sibling or neighbor saw it.
By 7, Granny's help was not needed and I could get my enemas on my left side, and even control the hose clamp for cooperating more.
Still, the whole process was bittersweet but my thoughts gradually turned more positive as the years passed.
Any similar experiences, thoughts???

I think all of us would use the word "bittersweet" to describe our reaction to being given an enema when we were young. Can anyone think of another word to describe your childhood reaction to be told you were going to get an enema. I did not like, and fought, getting an enema. However, it turned into a enema/sexual fetish, at a very early age. The enema itself was "bitter" and the after enema sexual release was "sweet." It is still bittersweet, only now, I just give enemas to others to satisfy my fetish.

At an early age, I rec'd enemas usually nude laying prone and with the whole family watching or at least able to watch. This at age 3 to 6 did not bother me. These were bulb enemas til about 5 then bag. In later childhood I was usually given enemas when sick and nobody except my mom was home. I never minded enemas either bulb or bag and they were never uncomfortable.

My experience is the opposite of most- I was never given an enema when my grandmother was staying at our house, only when she wasn't; I must have missed many enemas as she stayed with us about half time.

I guess I was not the only one with an obsessed grandmother. Mine could not believe that missing two days was okay. We would be ushered into the bathroom and filled.

My memories are similar to most posted here. I was 5, probably younger, when I was on the receiving end of enemas from my grandmother. The only experience to top those was being prepped for and given a barium enema at a hospital when I was about the same age. Of all my childhood memories, those are far and away the most vivid.

My grandmother would come to our house every Saturday morning and give my two sisters, two brothers and me enemas. We would yell and resist to no avail. The enemas would get up us even if she had to have one or both of our parents help her to hold us down or undress us. Sometimes it would seem there was more enema on the bathroom floor than in us. This happened all through high school. We would be filled in age order, oldest to youngest, two boys, two girls, boy. more than a few times I held my youngest brother over my legs and my other brother held his ankles so my grandmother could fill him. He really hated getting one but of us all he was the most insistent that his kids got them.

After all these years, do you and your siblings ever discuss those experiences from Grandma's weekend visits. I was an only child, and today, I'm left alone with my memories from a very young age and trying to sort them out on my own. I wonder if any of my family were still around if I'd want to talk to them about my interest in enemas, and would it do me any good. I find this forum to be helpful in that regard.

I was fortunate enough to have a grandmother who took care of us when my folks went away for a couple of days.

I started to self administer enemas to myself around 11 or so using our family's black bulb. I could easy con my grandma with fake sickness (stomach aches, etc) and she would give me an enema--asking her not to tell ma which she didn't tell. complete turnon for me.

I got enemas from my gram until I was out of high school. Two days before I got married I was given one by her. I was 23. She gave me an enema when she thought I was constipated or when she thought I was acting like a brat or because she felt systems should be regularly cleaned out. From about the time I was twelve I was expected to take and hold the full two quart bag. She did not hide giving me enemas. She would announce Eddie needs an enema and I was expected to go to my room and strip and then go in the bathroom where she would have a towel on the floor and a rolled bath rug for me to sit in front of and then fall back on. My rear would be lifted and my hole exposed and she would put the pipe in me. The filled enema bag would be hanging from the doorknob. When I started to get pubic hair and hardons I would protest I was too old. Her answer was don't be ridiculous. You need to be cleaned out. When we came back from our honeymoon she told my wife that I and any kids we had would need to be given enemas. She gave my wife a Davol fountain syringe to be sure that would happen.

Granmmom does NOT have a problem. When my mother was in the hospital and during recouperation I lived with grandmom. She gave me a several enemas while I lived at her house. She had a white enema can which I remember very well. She used a redish orange hand soap. When a bar of soap was too small for bathing she would save it in her enema can. Nothing was wasted. My grandmother was most careing. She died about 20 years ago. I miss her very much.

It wasn't a grandmother, butt my aunt my mothers younger sister. Aunt Betty was 10-12 yrs older than me she gave the most wonderfull enemas! I used to look forward to her visits 3-4 times a year. After my parents went to work she would ask if I needed an enema (of course!!) She would put me over her knee and lubed me real well with her finger inserted in my hole. By this time I was very erect. Then I would roll over on my back while she put the douche nozzle in my ass and started the flow, as the water flowed in Aunt Betty would stroke me, working the nozzle in and out..... I sure do miss Aunt Betty

Yes, aunt betty is in our mental restoration ward. But what she didn't tell you in the above message, that she is visited by her nephew who takes delight in giving his aunt Betty enemas every week, followed by the giving enemas to her nephew. Her nephew is in the same ward, and they enjoy each others naked company in the enema facilities, where others like to watch and participate.
