It is possible this was amswerd before, but why are some douche nozzles such as those sold today, straight and others curved when both are intended for the vagina?
In her enema equipment, my mother had both types along with the black rectal tips used when cleaning us out. After buying my first bag, I grew to like the douche nozzle because it holds in place well during a solo enema.

We (my husband and I) have always used the douche nozzle for our enemas, right from the time of our honeymoon ages ago. I began to use the douche nozzle on our son when he was about 8. Yes, it is thicker than an enema nozzle, but as someone pointed out, it is smaller than what comes out of there.
With the advent of the internet we've found better (thicker)nozzles.

I tried the douche nozzle when I gave my children an enema. It did not work out for me as the smaller holes in the douche nozzle would get clogged rather easily with feces especially when they were really stopped up. I went back to the regular child size nozzle with the large hole at the tip.
