Hello there,
I was very suprised to know there are so many Mc Auliffe in the world. I was even more suprised to learn that your grandmother's name was Clara. So is mine! And i thought I was unique. Anyway i'm not sure if there are any connections.I live in Dublin in ireland. I know my aunt did a family tree study some years back so i will try to locate a copy and see if there is any info on a James Mc Auliffe whose parents emigrated around this time. In the meantime i would love to know more about your grandmother. Was she artistic by any chance?

Hello , I know very little about my GrandMother Clara as she died 4 years before I was born. My Mother (her Daughter in law) would speak about her lovingly. I do have one photograph of Clara. I know her Parents were James & Frances , I believe James came to Ellis Is.NY alone in around 1865
