Subject: Help me research for a book?

Hello McAuliffes,

I am writing a book on Munster Irish in Hartford CT USA – 1850 to 1900. While researching I have come across some information on Malachy McAuliffe (b. abt 1818) and Dennis McAuliffe (b. abt 1827). Circumstantial evidence suggests the were part of a chain migration from the area just south of Taur (midway between Newmarket and Ballydesmond). This is based on their close association with Reardons from Glashakinleen. If anyone has any information on McAuliffes or others from this specific region, or information on the land owners and tenant farmers in this region (1800 to 1870) it would be a great help and time saver. I am not near a library with ready access to Tithe Applotments, O'Kief, Coshe Mange etc, etc and it may be months until I will be.

Thanks to anyone who might help

>Is it possible that this is my McAuliffe branch? Malachy is the last name I could get to in US records, but they like to recycle names so much in this family that it starts to look confusing. My dad (& his father, & his father, etc) liked ii and around Rockland, in Knox County, Maine. Hello McAuliffes,
