I remember very vividly when I was 10, my mother felt my forehead and announced I felt warm and she was going to take my temperature. I was in the living room with my two sisters 6 and 8. My 8 year old sister had graduated to oral like me. I can't honestly say how my 6 year old sister's temp was taken as I have no memory of it. Anyway, mom came in with the oral thermometer and took my temp. It came back as 97(F). I was accused of not keeping it under my tongue so she shoot it down and took it again with the warning that if I didn't keep it under my tongue she would have to get the "other thermometer" Once again it came back 97(F). She just looked at me and left the room. She then came back with the "other thermometer" and a jar of Vaseline. My 8 year old sister smiled at me, but the 6 year old just kept watching TV. I immediately began protesting that I had indeed kept the thermometer under my tongue but my mother would hear none of it. She ordered me onto my stomach. I knew there was no way out of the rectal temp at this point so I begged to at least be taken up to my room. My mother put the Vaseline and the thermometer down grabbed my up from the couch and then pulled my sweat pants and briefs down to my knees before I could react then pushed me face down on the couch. I laid there tears in my eyes as she spread my butt cheeks and inserted the well lubed thermometer. I tried not to think of my sister witnessing the whole thing, but it was all I could think of. Soon the thermometer was removed. I immediately grabbed my pants and got dressed as my mother held the thermometer up to the light. She looked at it then at me and announced, "Well, I guess you don't have a fever after all." I never had my temp taken rectally after that, but I am sure this is the incident that triggered my obsession with rectal temperatures, because while I hated it at the time, and was angry for my mothers lack of trust in me, when I recall the incident today I get those "butterflies in the stomach" I think you all know what I am talking about. Can't remember exactly when it was, but it was definitely after my r/t fetish had started. I almost asked her if we even had a rectal thermometer in the house; we had one when I was little and I can remember having it used on me, but once we were switched to oral, I never saw it again.
