Thanks Maggie for your story.

Although I was never hospitalized, age 9 was about when my interests in rectal temperatures was at its peek. I got them that way for a few more years after that.

You mentioned telling the nurse you could get oral. When had you stopped getting temps rectally at home?

Did you get any rectal temps after that hospital stay at home or at the doctors?

I think Mom stopped taking my RT around 7 if I rememmber right. No, I think that was it for RT's, none after that hospitalization at age 9. I was relieved about that for a long time.
