ok here is part 5 of my story sorry it took so long to write but read it and tell me if i should continue or let it drop where it is.
Part 5
On the day of the follow up emmas temp was still around 101 and she was still coughing bad, so off to the doctors she went.
Me: mom what will dr conner do today since I am not better yet?
Mom: well honey for starters he will take your temp, then he will prob give you more breathing treatments.
Me: ok
We get to the doctors and wait our turn then we are called back to a room.
Dr. Connor: hello emma how are you feeling today?
Me: well doc I still have a fever and I am still coughing bad and it kinda sounds like it is junky still
Mom: her temp this morning was 101 still
Dr. conner: emma since you are still coughing and you said it still sounded junky then I am a bit concerned so I will need to listen to them in a bit but first let me take your temp, so if you could please get on the table on your tummy so I can take your temp.
Me: fine whatever
Dr connor: ok lay still going to insert it now
Me: ok
Dr connor: any other symptoms emma?
Me: well not really but it still hurts really bad inside when I cough
Dr conner: ok that is a problem, temp almost done
Dr connor: taking thermometer out now lay still
Me: ok
Dr. connor: wow temp is still around 101 it should have come down by now emma
Dr. connor: ok emma you can get up now so I can check your lungs.
As I get up I let out a few junky coughs that startle the doctor
Dr. connor: emma that cough does not sound any better at all and I am worried about it, let me listen to your lungs now
Me: ok
Dr connor: take a deep breath for me, ok again, again, again
Me: I let out some more nasty coughs and I start to cry some
Dr connor: what is wrong emma it is ok I just checked your lungs
Me: it hurts rrrrrreeeeeeaaaaaalllllyyyyyyyy bad when I cough and it sometimes is hard to catch my breath with all the coughing
Dr. connor: emma your lungs still sound wet and goopey which is not good at all, I think your bronchitis might have turned into pneumonia so what I am going to do is send you back to the hospital and get another chest x-ray on you and I want you admitted to the hospital for breathing treatments until you are better.
Me: do I have to dr. connor?
Dr. connor: yes you do you are worse and I need to admit you to the hospital, so when you leave here I will call them and tell them that you are coming
Me: ok fine whatever
Mom: ok emma lets get you to the hospital
Mom: thanks for the help doctor
Dr. connor: see you at the hospital later emma
Hello markway hospital ER can I help you? Yes this is doctor connor I have a patient that was in there a few days ago named emma she had bronchitis, well today was her follow up and she is worse, still have fever of 101 and is still coughing so bad to where it hurts inside and she said she had to catch her breath when she coughed it was that bad, and upon exam her lungs are still very wet and goopey. And I think she might have pneumonia now, So I am sending her to the ER for a chest x-ray and more breathing treatments and to be admitted. She is on Tylenol for the fever and amoxicillin for the for the infection. I will be by later to check on her. Oh and she is on rectal temps only. Thanks for the help. Ok dr. connor we will take care of that for you and make a note in her chart on the rectal temps, and all. See you later.
