In one later episode of the Facts of Life all the girls except Blair come down with a bad case of the flu. Blair lords it over them and acts like the bitch she was but in the end contracts the flu after the others recover. At the very end of the episode the girls take Blair into her bedroom and you hear Blair yell offscreen "No, don't put it there!" and then "Take it out, please!" which would seem to indicate she had her temp taken rectally.
Jag ar Maria is a Swedish film about a twelve year old girl who goes to live with her grandmother. She gets sick and grandma goes into Maria's room and tells her to roll over. Granny shakes down the thermometer and appears to insert it into Maria's bottom under the covers. This film is occasionally posted on Youtube and other places before it disappears, presumably for copyright reasons. You may need to search using the Swedish accents over the vowels, something I can't do with my English keyboard.
One other movie I forgot to add is a Chinese (Hong Kong?) comedy whose name I don't know. A link to the video was posted here before the board was purged. In the scene, a pretty young nurse tells a mentally disturbed doctor that she doesn't feel well. The doc tells the nurse to undress and lie on an exam table. He pulls out a thermometer and begins to lubricate it by stroking the thermometer up and down. He then walks over to the now prone nurse and inserts it in her bottom and she nearly jumps off the table. If someone could repost the link to this clip I would be very appreciative.
