I remember being asked by my mother once if I wanted her to take my temp rectally and I said no. Can't remember exactly when it was, but it was definitely after my r/t fetish had started. I almost asked her if we even had a rectal thermometer in the house; we had one when I was little and I can remember having it used on me, but once we were switched to oral, I never saw it again.

I'm in my late 30's and give myself RT's and they still hurt but do it anyway because I like it. I do it every single night I cry really hard but for some reason, I just enjoy the feeling at the same time and play doctor too.
Call me crazy but I don't care. I only wish my doctor would do it but I don't know how to ask him. Have any ideas?

RT's don't hurt! I have had 100rd since being child, I'm now 54 years old and not one RT has ever hurt. I have no idea what your doing but what ever it is your doing it wrong. If you put the thermometer in about 1/2 its length and use lube ie KY or Vaseline there is no way it will hurt.

I had met a couple of women, who told me that rt's hurt when the nurse took their temp. in the hospital. I think that it depends on the temp. taker, and also whether your anus is very tight. Personally, I had some very painful rt's when I was a kid, but as an adult, it's been incredibly comfortable.
