the other nite my wife was laying in bed and felt sick. She went to the docter earlier that day and he took her temp in her ear. He said she wsa normal. I felt her head and it was warm and told her we had to take her temp. she agreed and we rolled her over, and i proceeded to lower her pjs and then her panties. I got the thermomiter and spread her cheaks. I slowly inserted the probe in her rectum. I got a great feeling doing it as I had not done it for a few years. She had 102 ND I REALIZED THE EAR TEMP IS A FARCE. Always use rectal.

u have that irwin i take my temp rectally usually when sick but sometimes i will do oral and sometimes when sick i can have an oral temp of 98.8 but then my rectal temp will show that i have small fever. so i tend to believe the rectal thermometer
