 Well my doctor is really not that old and it is his practice to require a rectal temperature for all physicals regardless of age. Similarly, one is required to remove all clothing and wear a gown for the exam unless its an exam for children. He provides gowns for teens but not for children under the age of 10. We have gone to him for the last 6 years, I am a 40 year old female with two children, twins, age 13, and they blush but still turn over when told to do so.
