Rectal temps. are the "preferred method" for people who have an rt fetish. The rest of the world, and medical community, are using cutting edge technology. Twenty years from now, (or less), the only folks left on this planet who will recall using glass rectal thermometers, will be those collecting social security. There's nothing wrong with wanting to continue taking your temp rectally. I think it's a long stretch of the imagination to assume that you have a large following.
