 Mine was always taken by my Mom, Grandmother or Aunts. The only male involved would have been the doctor. At home my temp was taken rectally until I left home at 18 and I still take it rectally today.

Very rarely, a male member of the familywouldtake temps, RT or otherwise. Since I preferred RT, that's what I got. My sister and some of my cousins also preferred RT.

As for nudity, all of us kids were usually nude in and around the house. Clothing was only required when going into the working areas of the family farm or when going out in public.
