I posted this at random times on here, but this experience as a youth somewhat resembles the posts above.
I was about 10 years old at the time and had a cold or something and my mom took me to pediatrician. It was a pediatric group type of thing with lots of doctors there. When we arrived the waiting room was full. Over on side a mom was taking a rectal temp of her son over her lap. The boy was crying while this was being done. He was about 6 years olds, give or take a year. Standing in front of them were three kids watching, two girls and a boy. One girl looked to be about 10 or 11, the other girl was younger, maybe 8 or so and the boy was the yougest. They just stood and watched the boy get his temperature taken in his behind. Nothing was said, by them that I could see. After it was over, the kids that were watching went back to their seats or went back over by thier moms. When I seen all this, I was glad I wasn't that boy getting his temp taken like that in front of everyone. I would say I was shocked, embarrassed and excited all at the same time seeing this.
