 Are we all a little odd for having an interest in RTs... I feel less odd knowing I'm not alone in my interest but other have said it is very weird.

I suppose it's unusual, but compared to other things some people are into it's quite normal heh imo.

As a fetish, it is not as bizarre as some others. The problem is that it reflects childhood experiences. Recalling such experiences can leave an impression that the focus is on taking rectal temperatures of children. It may be an unfair assumption, but for some persons that can be the case.

In a world where the glass thermometer is scarcely used, a taking a child's temperature rectally is not necessary. Suffice it to say that some observers may consider those persons possessing are interested in taking a child's temperature with a glass thermometer. That would be an unfair assumption.

Are we all "odd"? Sure we are! But, in a wonderful way. It is nice to know that others share our interest in having our temperatures taken in our bottoms. I enjoy my being "odd" every time I feel the tingle of the thermometer. In general conversation, if the subject is brought up at all, I suspect that most people would say that enjoying rectal temps is weird. That is, that's what they'd say in public. However, if we saw what these same folks do in private, I suspect we would get an entirely different picture. Whatever people call it, it's some of the most fun you can have with your pants down! Bottoms up! Jenn.

What is your definition of "odd?" It's all perspective. As others have said, there are some fetishes out there that I would consider to be bizarre, but rectal temps. obviously wouldn't be among them. I do know from experience that a rectal temp. fetish is likely to be considered "gay" if a man is into it, but not so for a woman. It's a stigma that the evangelists, a.k.a. religeous right, created. They believe that anal stimulation in a man categorizes him as a homo, and if done by a woman, it's "evil." Unfortunately, many "bible belt" folks accept that belief.
