 I sometimes saw my younger sistera having taken a rectal temp - and for my twin sistera I even sometimes inserted the thermomter. I also gave my sisters some enemas.

My Mom would take my brother and me to get our checkups once a year. This was the early 1960s when R/Ts were common for kids. The nurse would have us lie, one at a time, face down on the exam table. We got to watch each other as we got our temperatures taken in the butt. I think I enjoyed the whole thing much more than my brother did.
